Old Pulteney 17 Year Old Single Malt (Discontinued)

Pulteney distillery is one of the most northerly distilleries on the Scottish mainland.  Old Pulteney long embraced the sea as a source of inspiration, A Maritime Malt!  The origin can be traced back to 1826 in the town of Wick, the herring capital!

This 17 year old from the Pulteney distillery was a double gold winner at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, matured in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks.

Tasting notes from reviews:

NOSE: Balanced, fruity, honeydew melon, pear, sultanas in a hot cross bun with butter.

PALATE: The pallet is full and sweet with citurs peels and toffee, followed by honey comb and fudge!

FINISH: Long finish full body with a herable edge and oak!
